Here's today's question: what's the best way to install a floating shower bench seat? We take a look at Wedi's Sanoasa shower bench and give some installation tips...note, this is not a step-by-step installation...that's for a different video.

Wedi's floating shower bench seat requires a few things.
First, it needs two walls for the installation.
The brackets that come with it mount to the surface of the Wedi backer boards.
Also, it's a good idea to have wood blocking inside the walls. Something like a 2x6 or 2x8 would be best.
Wedi joint sealant is applied to the back side of the brackets which are then adhered to the Wedi backer boards. Screws are then used to secure the brackets to the backer boards/wood blocking.
The Wedi Sanoasa floating shower bench seat kit also comes with a roll of mesh and Wedi joint sealant.
Wedi joint sealant should be added to all the exposed blue foam of the bench and to the top of the bracket.
The bench can then be added to the brackets.
Mesh is applied to the intersection of the floating bench seat and Wedi backer boards.
Then Wedi joint sealant is applied to the mesh and allowed to dry for 24 hours.
This Wedi floating shower bench can be tiled or quartz can be added to the top.
