The benefit of STEM programs in US over non STEM programs | MS in the US
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Governments and universities around the world are attracting international students to pursue STEM courses. Likewise, many universities offer STEM and non STEM courses in USA. While both have their own importance, there are more benefits of pursuing STEM courses in US.
The most important benefit being is that a STEM degree holder can stay back in US for 36 months post completion of their degree as part of immigration rules. A non stem degree holder can only stack back up to one year. This is very advantageous for students as a STEM degree holder has a better chance of getting a work visa (also known as H-1B visa) which is won through a yearly lottery system. It is always better to have more time in hand to get the visa. The second advantage is that a STEM degree holder has a better chance of immigrating to other countries.
