"The root, which only responds
"The root, which only responds to Audric or something belonging to him, reacts to the Planet Xiang, which leads Jayce and Herc there even though it is a planet controlled by Saw Boss. They discover a message from Audric on a vase but before they can get it, it is stolen. Jayce and Herc and Oon are drawn further into the city where Saw Boss has laid a trap for Jayce. Jayce and Oon fall into a pit which is slowly being consumed by fire; but Herc, Gillian and Flora come to the rescue. Safely aboard the Pride they decode the message which is revealed to be too old to be of much use."
