TOMY Plarail Lady Unboxing review and first run!

Hey Guys and Gals, Here we have Plarail Lady from the Thomas and the magic railroad movie, I got this on ebay a couple of months ago and have been waiting patiently to film it as I have not owned an example of this loco before.
In the movie Sodor is a magical place that runs on gold dust (the world runs on gold anyway haha :P) and for some reason the residents of the island are losing their magic especially Mr. Conductor and Junior who use the magic gold dust to travel to and from the island and perform various magical tasks. In the end it turns out the hidden locomotive Lady is the source of the gold dust and after finding her hidden inside a mountain they solve the riddle and rescue her to return her to the island. Diesel 10 doesn't want this to happen though and is always chasing her down.
Enough about the movie on to the loco we have here! So a good looking model that feels well made and with quality paint and decal application all nicely done. The gold lining really stands out against the purple and gives a very regal look although there's no royalty involved in this story :P
This loco runs on a single AA battery and used the tried and tested good old Thomas type drive unit, it felt strong and smooth but a motor smell after some running was a concern. The loco had no trouble hauling its 2 purple and gold troublesome trucks up the hill but the turntable performance was not ideal if I'm honest, while it does seem compatible it had allot of spin and chatter from the wheels on the rollers.
So In conclusion a unique good looking and good running loco that is a must for anyone who collects these types of trains and who knows how long they will continue to manufacture lady in the future.
I give lady a score of 9/10 if it had worked better on the turntable it would have been a 10.
