🥇In this video we will see all the winners of the award for best player in the world, better known as the Golden Ball.
Until 1995, the award was restricted only to Europeans. Argentines Alfredo Di Stéfano (in 1957 and 1959) and Omar Sivori (in 1961) and Mozambican-Portuguese Eusébio (in 1965) received the award before that, but respectively as Spanish, Italian and Portuguese citizens. The first non-European citizen to win the Ballon d'Or was Liberian George Weah in 1995, but until 2006 the award continued to consider only players who played in Europe. From the 2007 edition, it began to cover players from anywhere in the world.
