This sweet dog’s journey to VOSD began when he was found abandoned on the streets, likely due to his condition, rickets, which affects bone development and requires specialized care. A kind lady found him and took him in. She reached out to the VOSD helpdesk with a surrender request, knowing that he had slim chances of being adopted. After a thorough review of his case, we gladly welcomed Ricky Jr. to his forever home, providing him with a renewed sense of hope and a fresh start in life.
This month, Ricky Jr. will complete two years at VOSD. He continues to thrive, maintaining good health and eating well. Despite his condition, he gleefully runs around exploring every corner of the sanctuary grounds, even scaling walls with confidence. Every second spent around this lively dog is an adventure. Our dedicated team ensures Ricky Jr. has nothing to fret about, providing him with top-notch specialized care at VOSD to ensure he lives a vibrant and fulfilling life.
Ricky Jr. did not choose to be born with ailments, nor did he choose to be abandoned.
