This was the Fall Con
This was the Fall Con in Illinois. It was previously a mall con. To be honest, I did not have my hopes up. I have never really had a great experience with this event in the past. The problem is, there is very little advertising. You really wouldn't know about it unless you were in the organizer's inner circle. This year they moved locations and had it in the civic center. This was a great improvement as it felt more like a comic con. I would whole heartedly recommend that this con tries to grow more before adding celebrities. They have celebrities every year, but the community interest in them is very low. Mostly due to the fact that they are not very well known. I feel like they are just above extras in movies or TV shows. Just grow the event first and then add better celebrities. Also, build your event by advertising and not charging so much to get a table. The more vendors you can get the better the event will be. I want this to succeed, because I dont want to have to drive all across the state to find a good con.
