Bu nasıl bir Kafa? SICAK KAFA! Türkiye’nin ilk distopya dizisi

Have you heard of something called The hot skull? Turkey's first dystopian TV series. Adapted from Afşin Kum's novel of the same name. The story takes place in the near future or in an alternate present so to say. There is an widespread pandemic all over. Pandemic again? Do not think that as “another new thing that has emerged in the post-pandemic world because of the Covid.” Because the book was published in November way back in 2016, before the pandemic. The creator of the series, Mert Baykal, also listened to the novel as an audiobook in 2018, before the Covid. And this project, which has been developed since then, was completed in about 3 years.
Building a dystopian world is a challenge in itself. We were accustomed to seeing the future states of metropolises such as Los Angeles, New York, and London in such stories. But this time we are faced with a dystopian version of Istanbul. And judging by the images in the trailers, it is full of the most ambitious scenes ever made. Hundreds of artists from 7 different visual effects companies, all from Turkey, worked to create these scenes. This is how they came up with a total of 1485 visual effects scenes in all 8 episodes. They worked with the colorist of the series Dark on Netflix, for the visualization of the series, which was screened on Netflix on December 2nd. As I said, it is not easy to construct a dystopian world in a believable way. In a serious mix of genres such as adventure, drama, mystery, dystopian science fiction and thriller, what surprised me the most were the humorous scenes. Instead of zombie stories, there are 'jabbers' in this world. Headphones replaced the masks we used during the pandemic. Our protagonist is a scientist who once worked on the jabbering disease in the series. But then he lost hope and took shelter in his mother's house. They keep their minds busy by solving sudoku or something together. This is how they lead a dormant life watching television and stuff every day; one day, he learns that he is wanted by a government agency called the PCC (pandemic control center ), which everyone is afraid of. This is how things start. Similar to Alice falling down the rabbit hole, we face along with him, a world transformed by the pandemic. Even somewhat in a surreal way at times. Yes, although we may have survived one of the biggest disasters of the century, a pandemic, this pandemic is a different kind. A pandemic of madness. But I still think it contains very important determinations regarding the Covid period, and I noticed some very striking scenes about it.
