Castle Elvira - Salento Italy's Most Enchanting Boutique Hotel

This is Salento Italy’s most enchanting castle.  Located in Southern Italy near Lecce, it was built in the late 19th century but left abandoned for more than 120 years. In 2022, Castle Elvira was resurrected from the ashes and beautifully resorded to become one of the most prestigious castle hotels in Italy.
The castle is set on 37 acres of exclusive private woodland, olive groves, citrus groves, and incredible Italian gardens with two stunning stone-clad pools and a large jacuzzi surrounded by muslin covered day beds.
Indoors is nothing less than a magnum opus of the owner’s design with a stunning mix of avant-garde contemporary artworks, exquisite Italian furnishing and whimsical objets d’art. The Castle and the Castle Cottage offer six individually styled and designed suites that can welcome a maximum of 13 guests. On the other side of the estate is Tower Elvira, a former lookout tower repurposed into four lavish suites.

An on-site restaurant specializes in authentic home-cooked Pugliese cuisine and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The castle also has a private cinema, a private dining room for special occasions, and a superb roof terrace bar that opens every evening for you to witness the spectacular Salento sunsets.
