However, it is important to note that Nord stated that one of their data centers in Finland, which they were renting their servers from was accessed with no authorization the attacker gained access to the server which had been active for about a month by exploiting an insecure Remote Management System left by the data center provider Nord VPN said that the breach was an attack on the server and not Nord VPN service nor did terminate their contract with the server provider that same day, no no did state that the server itself did not contain any user activity logs and that none other applications send user created credentials for authentication. Review. So usernames and passwords could not have been compromised or intercepted. Now, Nord also stated that they treat VPN servers as untrusted in the rest of their infrastructure. And it is not possible to get access to other VPN servers, user databases or other servers from a compromised a VPN server. So there's no need to worry about this issue right here, according to Nord and of course, this did happen in Finland. So what Nord VPN did is that following its promise to become faster, stronger and more secure. Nord VPN is proud to announce yet another upgrade to its infrastructure and development of collocated servers. Nord VPN is adding a private server network wholly owned and controlled by the company itself. Review. The custom specific servers are expected to provide Nord VPN users with an even higher level of security and privacy. And by the way, they are based in Finland, and they're starting out this initiative in Finland. And not just that, the server collocation is just one of the many steps in Nord VPN product development progress only last week, AV tests an independent provider of comparative tests efficiently recognize Nord VPN as the fastest VPN connection on the market. Furthermore, the company has just has just finished upgrading its entire infrastructure to ram servers. So that's very important. Now all Nord VPN is regular servers are ram based, which means that no information is stored locally. Review. And of course, I've reached out to support to confirm that the standard servers have been upgraded to diskless to become diskless Ram servers. And what these servers do if you didn't know is that they allow nor to create a centrally controlled network where nothing is stored locally, and that they don't even have an operating system stored locally.
