2 Irish Setters at work demonstrate why I usually bring 1

This video was taken May 5th, ‘22 at my work. While Bacon and Luna are well trained to behave there individually, they can be quite distracting when they have each other to play and compete with. I brought them both because we showed in the morning, and I would’ve missed an extra hour of work to take one back home in between. We did the same thing the next day. I work at a pharmacy that delivers over 90% of our prescriptions by mail, so we generally only have a few patients per day visit, but the dogs are always eager to get whatever pets they can beg from them, and from the mail carriers and delivery drivers and even a few neighbors that make a habit of stopping in to say hi to them.

We had a very exciting weekend with our reds at our local dog show in South Jordan, UT.
Saturday — our 9 month old puppy Red, co-owned with Tracey and Lynnete Thaxton of Rupert, Idaho, won a 3-point Major ( WD / BoW / BOH ). This was Tracey and Red’s very first weekend showing, they both learned amazingly quick, and performed far beyond even our most hopeful expectations!
Sunday — Bacon won a 3-point Major ( WD / BoW / BOH / OHG4 ) by Judge Ken Murray, who has been a professional handler of some very fine Irish Setters, and I believe also bred them for a time. Bacon then went on to earn an Owner-Handler Sporting Group 4th Place.
Luna earned another 2 points as well Sunday ( WB )

Bacon’s now just a hair short of his Champion title, with 13 points and 2 majors
Luna 8 points
Red 3 points and 1 major
