How to put a pendulum clock in beat

I try to be as broad as possible in this video explaining how to put a pendulum in beat because:
1: Many variations exist in escapement construction.
2: Crutch designs can vary widely
3: Newer clocks allow beating setting to be easier for the user, while old clocks are generally more difficult.
4: All youtube viewers seem to labor under the impression that instructions for THEIR SPECIFIC CLOCK is available and that I know telepathically what their clock is.
