Mounting an external transducer to a Minn Kota Ulterra or Terrova Trolling Motor

This video shows the operation of my Minn Kota Ulterra Trolling Motor with a Lowrance TripleShot Transducer attached.  The mechanism that connects the transducer to the trolling motor allows the unit to deploy/stow without interference, is very simple to make and will NOT jam the Ulterra or Terrova.

In the simplest terms it consists of two stainless steel eye bolts, a 6ft long coiled bicycle security cable and a small carabiner.  The eye bolts position the coiled cable to insure it does not jam the stowing mechanism on the Ulterra.  

The coiled cable allows for complete rotation of the trolling motor.

Because the Ulterra/Terrova trolling motors overhang the bow the coiled cable never contacts the boat.
