How to Weld Tophat Bungs (TIG Welding Tutorial)

This week I take you through the basics for installing a sight gauge (aka fuel gauge) on your chopper. How to lay out the holes, prep the material for welding, welding techniques for getting a good finished product and more.

The machine used in this video is an AHP AlphaTIG 201XD. Bungs were welded with ER70S-2 filler wire using a foot pedal with the machine set to 136 amps. Tungsten is 2% lanthanated, 3/32 diameter with a Furick Jazzy 10 cup and 100% argon, roughly 15CFH.
