Today, I’m really excited to share with you the story behind the tool I’m inventing. This journey began when I was just 10 years old, growing up in a poor rural village. Back then, I helped my family earn extra income during the summer holidays, and we were hired by employers to peel the flesh off longans and lychees. Each day, we peeled five to seven kilos, and by evening, my nails hurt so much that I couldn’t continue. The next day, our productivity dropped, but since my family didn’t have much money, we had no choice but to keep working.
My grandfather was a mechanic, and watching him work sparked my curiosity. I began thinking about how I could invent a tool to make peeling easier—something that would increase productivity without causing pain to our hands.
Two days later, I borrowed my grandfather’s workshop and started experimenting with an iron nail. The next day, I brought the tool to work, and everything changed. Our hands no longer hurt, and our productivity increased significantly. People started asking me how I made it, and before long, I was producing and selling the tool to others, helping them work more efficiently without hand pain.
This invention is not just a tool to me; it’s also a piece of my childhood memories. I’m so happy to relive those beautiful moments while creating something that helps others.
