The move to Tauranga has provided operational efficiencies in the business, which has flowed on to cost savings for Zespri and other customers. Seatrade nominated the Port of Tauranga as their 'home port' so ships come to Tauranga to discharge cargo and empty containers.
Chilled meat shippers and wine shippers across New Zealand are looking at Seatrade's service to Europe with considerable interest.
