Today there is a review of a very large abstract squeegee painting I did in the style of Gerhard Richter. How do I paint an abstract acrylic painting using the squeegee technique? What is the squeegee technique?
Gerhard Richter uses squeegee tools that he made himself, but you can achieve excellent results in abstract acrylic painting with a smoothing spatula from the DIY store. The larger the canvas you choose, the more beautifully this squeegee technique comes into its own. Finally, I show the finished abstract acrylic painting as it hangs on the wall.
