Side Plank Clamshells

Start by getting on your side with your knees bent and elbow stacked underneath your
shoulder. From there, push your hips up and forward so your shoulder, hip, and knee make
a straight line. Keeping your feet together, raise one knee straight up toward the ceiling
without allowing your hip to roll backward. To make this harder, you can add a band
around your knees.

This exercise is a great way to strengthen your gluteus medius muscle, and create overall
hip stability for activities of daily living.
