In this video I show how we are propagating sweet potato slips from our heirloom blue sweet potatoes. We used to use many glass jars and prop up the potatoes in the jars to get the slips. That took too much time to clean the water in the bottles and root the slips. Now we start the potatoes on their sides in seed flat and water. Once the slips get big enough they are pulled and placed into another seed flat filled with pearlite and water. There they are allowed to grow and develop nice roots. This system requires much less work and time.
I hope to make an update on this system when its time to transplant the slips.
