LegalZoom LLC Services Review: Expert Insights on Its Efficiency and Suitability for the Best Legal Formation LLC Formation.
Hey everyone, welcome back! So, I’ve started a couple of companies, and for me, the worst part of the whole process is dealing with all the legal aspects. It’s really exhausting and time-consuming and I think most business owners who have done it before would probably agree. And for those of you who haven’t started an LLC or limited liability corporation yet, do yourself a favor and hire a professional service. You could use a lawyer or an accounting firm, but the best and easiest option that I’ve found are online companies that take care of the whole process for you, and LegalZoom is one of these companies. Before I used them, I did a lot of research, and then I actually used them to start two LLCs. So, I decided to make this video to talk about my experience with them, their main features, how much they cost, some features that a lot of people don’t know about, and areas where they do a really good job. And I want to be crystal clear here, I am in no way sponsored by them. So, I’ll also tell you about a few issues I had with them. Now, none of them were really deal breakers for me because, like I said before, I still use them. So by the end of this video, you should know if they’re the right fit for you and your situation or not. And if, at any point, you end up wanting to try them out, use the link that’s down in the description because you’ll get a bit of a discount that’s not available if you go right to their website. So, just to be clear, Legalzoom has been starting companies for people totally online for over 20 years. And in that time, they’ve helped start over 2 million businesses. So it's fair to say that they’re an established and experienced company. Now, they do have a few features that really stood out to me, like legal support, the ability to register multiple types of businesses - like S-Corps, C-Corps, sole proprietorships, and DBA support, which stands for ‘Doing Business As’, where you can register a company under one name and operate under another. Okay, so I’ve been using LegalZoom now for over a year and have actually opened two LLCs with them so far. I found the process to be really straightforward; they guide you through the process and give you very easy-to-follow instructions. You’ll need to feed in the information, of course, but you do everything right on their website; there's no need to go anywhere else- as long as you have all the information. And it was a bit of a bummer when I found out that the name I chose was already taken, so I had to sort of rethink my brand. But no big deal; the company ended up working beautifully even after the rebrand, and that was about it. So, would I recommend LegalZoom? I absolutely would; they made my life a lot easier. They did all the work for me and guided me through the whole process. They even follow up with you for the first year after you create your business to make sure that everything is working. And if you choose to stick with them after that, you can always renew subscriptions for things like legal support and copyright protection, which is always helpful if you come up with products and designs and want to protect them - but you do have to pay for these services on a monthly basis, along with your annual plan. But I still think that they’re a lot cheaper than even a reasonably priced lawyer, at least in my experience. So, that’s it for my honest and hopefully thorough review of LegalZoom. Again, I would definitely recommend checking them out if you’ve never opened a business before, or even if you have opened one before and just want to save yourself some time, possibly some money and definitely a lot of headache and hassle for your next one.
