Test Jeep Wrangler 3.8 Manual Evap Solenoid Test P0456 Code P0457

To rule out a faulty evap solenoid valve, here's a quick physical test and electrical test for the evap solenoid. Very simple and should work on nearly any vehicle that has the two-prong system. It's literally positive and negative terminals that open and close the solenoid when power is applied.

If the solenoid doesn't open/close when power is applied, it may be a sign of a blown unit.
