With Thai actor AUGUST Vachiravit in the lead role of the upcoming Thai Series "ADDICTED HEROIN รักร้ายนายเสพติด", working together again with YUAN Jakkaphong, one of the directors of "Love Sick The Series", I was thinking that it was a good idea to revive the very first gay character that AUGUST ever played 10 years ago.
PETE is one of the best gay characters shown in a Thai BL Series having a crush on his best friend EARN, but not being ready to open up to live those feelings entirely. It also happens that EARN has a crush on another boy in their school, NOH, and that makes PETE even more uncertain of ever telling EARN how he truly feels about him. Trying to remain EARN best friend, and looking after him the best way he could, becomes a real problem, as a stronger jealousy, and a sense of helplessness damages their friendship many times. But the most beautiful part is that despite of all those issues PETE waits the entire Series long for EARN to get over NOH, and to start realizing that he is his real true love. Unfortunately that is when the Series ended; and we don't get to see their romance developing. Yet... PETE & EARN were the second biggest ship in "Love Sick The Series"... at the level of the love triangle TANAI - GUIDE - RUNWAY in "My Dream The Series" a couple of years later.
It is really interesting that AUGUST's second gay character HERO is going to recreate the same pattern as PETE... developing love feelings for a classmate POP, that becomes his best friend over time, and who then turns out to be his step-brother. The fears of confessing his feelings will be put aside in a very drastic way as their relationship is at the verge of being destroyed by the family issues. I could say that the foil duel between PETE and EARN is the equivalent in "Love Sick" to HERO's kidnaping of POP in the Thai adaptation of "Addicted". Also the jealousy issues between the characters in many different circumstances will be very similar comparing both Series, but stronger in "Addicted", of course, because they boys ex-girlfriend will be a major negative issue.
The quality of the audio and the video scenes is not as good a I would like it to be, but that is how the Series TV Version was made and released at the time. It would be great if I could use the UNCUT version of LINE TV Thailand, but that streaming platform does not exits anymore. So... I could only used the material available online at the moment.
I hope you all enjoy watching these "BL Historical Clips" starring AUGUST Vachiravit and taken from "Love Sick The Series - Season 2", that show really well AUGUST's acting skills since he was 15 years old; the high chemistry he was able to build up with his pairing actor NGERN Anupart; and the balance of emotions and temperament he is able to portray, to visualize HOW he could perform his second gay character HERO 10 years later for the upcoming Thai BL Series "ADDICTED HEROIN รักร้ายนายเสพติด".
