1978 Bally MATA HARI pinball machine

Here's a 1978 Bally Mata Hari pinball machine in action. This is classic Bally with a simple but compelling ruleset and a fun playfield layout. The owner of this game brought it to me without a backglass and I turned off the backbox lighting to avoid glare in the video. The rules are simple: make the A & B lanes over and over to increase and score the lit A&B value. Making the saucer increases the multiplier and scores 50k. Hitting down all of the drops twice scores the special. That's it! History buffs will know that the theme of this game is pretty cool, but one has to wonder how many kids in the arcades of the late 70's would have known anything about Mata Hari.
