Soya Chilli Recipe by Food Prescription
Soaking Soya Chunks
Ingredients
• 1 Soya Chunks
• 2 cups Hot Water
Method:
• Soak Soya chunks in hot water for 10-15 min
• After the soya chunks have doubled in size, squeeze the excess water from it and keep it in another bowl.
Frying Soya Chunks
Ingredients:
• Soaked Soya Chunks
• 1/4th cup Cornflour
• Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
• Black pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
• Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
Method:
• In a bowl, add cornflour, soaked soya chunks, and all the above ingredients to it and mix it gently.
• Keep it aside for 5 min.
• Then deep fry in hot oil until it turns crispy and golden brown
• Take the fried soyabeans out on a plate.
For making Chilli
Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp Oil
• 1-2 fresh Green chillies, slit
• 6-7 cloves Garlic, chopped
• 1 inch Ginger, chopped
• 1 medium Onion, diced
• 1 medium Capsicum, diced
• Water
• ½ tsp Black pepper powder
• 1 tbsp cornflour slurry
• Fried Soya Chunks
• Spring onion greens
• Sesame seeds
• Spring onion whites
• 2 tbsp Soy sauce
• 1 tbsp Vinegar
• 1 tsp Tomato ketchup
• 1 tbsp Red chilli sauce
Method:
• Heat oil in a pan, once it's hot add garlic, ginger and saute it for 30 seconds.
• Now, add green chillies and spring onion whites and saute it for 30 seconds.
• Add onion, capsicum, and saute on high flame till it slightly changes color.
• Add all the sauces, water, black pepper powder and cook until the sauce starts boiling.
• Add cornflour slurry and mix until the gravy slightly thickens and turns glossy.
• Add fried soya chunks and toss everything well.
• Adjust the salt.
• Add spring onion and toss it well.
• Serve it hot and enjoy ❤️
