GCSE History - Saxons and Normans: Why did William Win the Battle of Hastings?

This online lesson considers the events and consequences of the Battle of Hastings, 14th October 1066. The lesson considers 9 factors that help explain the reasons why William won the battle. The lesson concludes with some exam practice. Videos just focusing on the events of the battles are also available, linked below. The lesson is intended to last between and hour and an hour and a half depending of the depth of the work undertaken.

This lesson is designed to compliment the Edexcel GCSE History specification Anglo Saxon and Norman England c.1060-1087, but it should be useful to anyone studying this topic.
