Some races capture your imagination. The Mozart 100 certainly captured mine. Join me, as I take on my toughest yet most rewarding trail ultramarathon yet.
The Mozart 100 is a 100 kilometre ultramarathon, by UTMB, held in the Austrian city of Salzburg. It takes runners on a tour of the beautiful surrounding mountains promising exceptional views, tough technical trails, and A LOT of climbing (16,500 feet!).
I hopped on a plane from the UK to Austria, and settled into the city before waking up early for the 5am start on race day. I was incredibly nervous and incredibly excited for my first ultramarathon adventure overseas. Here's how I got on...
