This delightful final toccata from the Bachianas Brasileiras No. 2 by Brazilian master Villa-Lobos depicts the journey of a little train that could. The beautiful paintings are by Tarsila do Amaral.

Bachianas Brasileiras No. 2 is scored for orchestra. The fourth movement is called "Toccata (O trenzinho do caipira" (The Little Train of the Caipira); "caipira" meaning the man from the country, or small town, a "hick" but without the negative connotation.
