It was the late 1960s
It was the late 1960s and we were living in a rented flat in the Old City neighborhood of Lahore... I was a Grade 2 student at Cathedral High School, Mall Road, Lahore. .. my parents took all of us to Capitol Cinema (or it might have been Galaxy Cinema) to watch this off beat Punjabi movie Mheedaa Vaardaatiya.... this song was part of the movie and I remember it to this day because of its musical composition.
A lilting tune composed by the maestro Baba G.A. Chishti and sung with feeling by the Pakistani legendary singer Noor Jahan for the off beat Pakistani Punjabi language movie Mheedaa Vaardaatiyaa
