January 29, 2018 - Here is a video demonstrating how to recharge blue silica bead desiccant. This is the color changing cobalt chloride type. There is a health risk...so, be warned and follow proper use and safety guidance. Do NOT eat and wash your hands after handling. Keep away from children and pets. Many guys use this in their ammunition (ammo) boxes or gun safes to keep the moisture and mildew down (humidity control). Some buy fancy canisters for them too. I found a couple of plastic shakers at Walmart for $2 and use them in my garage deep freezer conversion. You can "see" through plastic and monitor the color change. I have ZERO frost, no mildew, and NO CONDENSATION. Works best if you are NOT in/out of your fridge 15x a day. I also did a channel shout out to "Green Mountain DIY Guy" up in Vermont.
