About this video: There are a few different ways to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC. In this video, we go over all of the different ways to get Bedrock Edition on PC from the Xbox App to Game Pass to the Microsoft store, it is all covered in this video. That means that no matter what, you will finish this guide know how to download Minecraft Bedrock on PC and get it installed!
First things first, I do want to mention that if you have Minecraft Java Edition, you already own Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC, and it can be easily accessed in the Minecraft Launcher.
All you need to do if you own Minecraft Java Edition is open up the Minecraft Launcher and select “Minecraft for Windows” on the left-hand side. This is Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC. Just click the “Play” button at the bottom of the Minecraft Launcher, and Bedrock Edition will open.
However, what if you don’t have Minecraft Java Edition? Well, you will need to purchase Minecraft for Windows. You can find a link in the description above to where you can go to purchase Minecraft. That is Minecraft’s official website, and when you buy Minecraft for Windows, You will actually get access to Minecraft Java Edition as well as Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
After you own Minecraft Bedrock Edition for PC, you will need to download it. This can be done in two ways. The first is using the Xbox App. You can find a link in the description above to the MInecraft Launcher on Xbox. Going through the download process here will let you get the Minecraft Launcher via the Xbox App. Once you have the Xbox App and the Minecraft Launcher, just click Play on the Launcher in the Xbox App.
From there, select “Minecraft for Windows” on the left-hand side, click “Play, and Bedrock will open.
If you are using Xbox Gamepass to play Minecraft, you will need to need to use the Xbox App as well to play Minecraft. Luckily, the Minecraft Launcher, and thus, Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Java are included with Xbox Gamepass.
There is one more way to get Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC though, and that is using the Microsoft Store. This is actually my preferred way of getting Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC.
To download Minecraft Bedrock on PC using the Microsoft Store, first open the “Microsoft Store” app on your PC. Once you have done that, search for the “Minecraft Launcher”. You will then see the Minecraft Launcher. Select it, and install it.
Once it has finished installing, open it. You will be prompted to login to your Microsoft Account. Make sure you use the account that you either own Minecraft with or that has a Gamepass subscription. After you login, select “Minecraft for Windows” on the left-hand side, click “Play” at the bottom of the launcher, and Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC will open!
