Best Camera For Youtube Videos & Best Cameras For Tech Youtube Channels
I’m going to give you an idea of some of the Best Cameras For Youtube so you can get a better idea on which one will be best for you to buy.
So today’s question asks “Hey Chris, I want to start a tech channel on youtube and am wondering which camera will be best for me. I’m only 17 so the cheaper the better. Well that’s really cool that you're starting a tech channel. I watch a couple like MKBHD and TLD today and they’re great to watch. Now the good thing is is that there are lots of options for you to film with even if you’re on a budget.
The first tip that I’d give you is to get just get started with whatever camera that you’ve got and that might be your phone. Pretty much all phones these days shoot in at least 1080p so even if you’ve got an older phone like this iPhone 5s here, you should be good to get started. By the way let me know in the comments section below, which camera do you think is the best 4k camera and why? and I’ll take a look at your comment.
But if you do want to step up to better camera with more versatility, I'd look at something like the Canon T3i or 600D outside of America. I actuallly used this for the first few years of running my channel and it worked great. One of the best features of the T3i is that it's got a flip out screen which means you can see yourself when filming which is really important. If you want somethign a little bit newer you could look at either the Canon T6 or Nikon D3400, but both of these don’t have a flip out screen, sot that's somethign to think about.
One new camera that does have a flip out scoreen is the Nikon D5600. It's a brillaint camera for video production, as it's alsoo got a touch screen which helps to lock focus and it's also got a timelapse mode built into it. One area though where the D5600 storagegles though is autofocus which might be important if you don't have anyone to film you for your youtube videos.
There are a few cameras thoguh whcih have great autofocus. Firstly you could take a look at the Canon T6i and T6s. These were released last year and are fatastic little cameras. They have a new autofocus system called Hybrid autofocus which works great. Not only that, they also have a mic input and a touch articulating screen.
For even better autofocus, I’d go for the Canon 70d or 80d, but they might be a little bit out of your price range for now. Now if you want to get even sharper footage, I’d look at shooting in 4k. The best value 4k camera out at hte moment is the Panasonic G7. The G7 is incredibly popular with tech youtubers for it’s ease of use and brilliant footage.
Not only that, because a new model just came out, the G7 is even cheaper now which is great. On the Sony side you could look at the Sony A6300 which is another camera that shoots in 4k.
To me I'd still probably go for the G7, but they’re both great cameras. So they some of the best cheap cameras for youtube.
