Cycling in the Himalayas

A short but scenic cycling ride from Manali towards Rohtang pass. The journey started on June 10, 2024, from Jagatsukh a village near Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India. I travelled through the Leh - Manali Highway till Palchan and took the old road towards Rohtang Pass. Most vehicles go through the Atal Tunnel towards Leh, so this route had less traffic, despite peak tourist season, making it ideal for Cycling. On the way, I saw couples doing Zipline adventure rides across the beautiful Beas River, deodar and pine forests, grazing sheep in the meadows, snow-capped mountain peaks, couples doing Bungee jumping in deep river canyons, tasting mouthwatering hot aloo parathas with dahi and achaar and more ..
