Today's #Ayodhya was ancient Buddhist #Saket city which was Buddhist site and shrine. As per religious volume #Lord_Buddha visited to Saket for sermon and later on #Buddhist kings made monuments, #Stupa in the memory of #Thathagat. Same has mentioned by Chinese Traveller #Xuanzang and #Fayan in their diary.
