The Israeli military said its “troops are continuing with the operation until its objectives are achieved” despite reports of withdrawal. Four drone strikes were carried out in Jenin and the IDF says over 30 explosive devices planted under roads in the city were also neutralised. This came after Palestinian Wafa news agency reported on September 6 that Israeli forces have withdrawn from Jenin and its camp after 10 days. The IDF said it killed 7 “terrorists” on September 5, including Muhammad, the son of Fatah leader Zakaria Zubeidi. Hamas released a video of slain hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin, which was recorded before six hostages were recently found dead in a Gaza tunnel. Meanwhile, Blinken reiterated that Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement on 90% of the issues.
