21st Century Education

Education in the 21st Century should include the 4Cs of learning (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication).  Equally, it should include deep learning, project work and inquiry based instruction.  Children should have the opportunity to be involved in the learning process, contributing through their interests.  Cultural awareness, civic, health and financial literacy should also be observed.  Discovery Day Academy undergoes projects in the areas of science, engineering, humanities and technology.  We also observe the makers movement, encouraging innovation.
