I was in my early 40s when I became a young grandmother. It’s been more than a year since that day, and I am now a proud glam-ma of my beautiful granddaughter ❤️
Being young grandparents has had many wonderful benefits, but it’s also had a few unexpected pressures. The day we held our granddaughter in our arms, I remember feeling intense love for our newborn granddaughter, yet also a bit of apprehension as to how I was going to juggle motherhood and grandma hood. I’ve been overjoyed by the blessing of my grandchild. But being a young grandparent also means you have to face a number of challenges and it can get difficult at times. While becoming a grandparent at a young age can scramble all expectations for the second half of life, it can also increase joy and give you happiness which you could never experience otherwise ⭐️
