Tips

This is an easy recipe to make. There’s really no need for exact measurements. I just eyeball everything. The above measurements are for your reference. I just make this all the time that using measuring cups is a nuisance for me. It’s one of those recipes that just speaks to me. I just know when to add a little bit of this and that.

You really want a bread that’s days old. At least a few days old. Works best and cuts the cooking time because of the drier bread. The result is an airy, tasty and crusty croutons that’s crunchy but won’t break your jaw compare to a store bought croutons.

There’s no need to add salt if you’re using salted butter. The Parmesan has salt, so those two is more than enough salt for these croutons. Remember you can always add more salt but you can’t take it out once you over salt your food.;)
