The Supreme Court refused to
The Supreme Court refused to stay the Election Commission (EC) notification allowing the use of the none of the above (NOTA) vote provision in the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls in Gujarat. This is the first time the NOTA option will be available in the Rajya Sabha polls.Congress also had demanded that NOTA provision should not be used in the voting.There are three Rajya Sabha vacancies in Gujarat with four candidates, including Congress leader Ahmed Patel, competing for a seat. The cross-voting by Congress MLAs in presidential elections, is a cause of concern for the high command. Super Prime Time discusses the issue with PC Vishnunath, Santhosh Joy, P Karunakaran MP and JR Padmakumar.
