The driver tires on Fort Edmonton's 2-6-2 steam locomotive #107 were worn.  New tires were carefully machined as replacements and then installed by Oxford Machine & Welding of Edmonton, Alberta.  The new tires were heated using induction heating in order to expand them sufficiently to allow them to be slipped over the driver wheels as shown in this video.  The axle/wheels were then lowered into the expanded tire and subsequently allowed to cool which led to the tire contracting solidly around the wheel.  And thus Edmonton Yukon & Pacific #107 was made read to run many more seasons around the Fort's park.
