If you are looking for great, consistent hot foiling results, I offer a few tips, and a top technique for better, consistent hot foil results when use your BetterPress letterpress plates with your Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system. No, you shouldn't use your glimmer hot foil plates with BetterPress to letterpress, but you sure can use your BetterPress plates to hot foil with the Spellbinders Glimmer System, AND use them to letterpress as well. No, I'm not going to throw away my glimmer plates. Despite the title, I will use them from time to time, but I found that I get much better results when I hot foil with the press plates made for the Spellbinders BetterPress system.
