Wudu in public is embarassing - I agree. But, here are some ways to get it done smoothly without awkward situations - IN 2020!!! 😁
How is this video different to the original one?
Well, y'all know the situation that 2020 has brought along with it. To make wudu in a public washroom is not as easy as it used to be. We have to take care of hygiene while we do our wudu in public. So in this video you will see how you can take care of your health while also making sure you fulfill your requirements as a muslim while out and about. Making wudu in a masjid is easy, but what if you have to pray and there's no masjid near you. How do you make wudu then? That's what this video is about.
There are two things you can do - the first way is to completely do you wudu from scratch, from washing your face, hands, mouth, nose and feet completely in the public toilet. The other way is to be eligible for masah. Now masah has its own criteria. You will need to have done wudu beforehand and worn socks/shoes on while your feet were still clean. Once you take off the shoes/socks, the masah breaks. Basically, if you're going to do masah over your socks, then taking off your socks breaks the masah. Similarly, if you're going to do masah over your shoes then taking off your shoes breaks the masah. Breaking wudu does not mean that your masah has broken. On the other hand, breaking masah also does not mean that the wudu has broken.

Hummam reported:
Jarir urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over the socks. It was said to him: Do you do like this? He said: Yes, I saw that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) urinated, then performed ablution and then wiped over his shoes. A'mash said: Ibrahim had observed that this hadith was a surprise for them (the people) because Jarir had embraced Islam after the revelation of Surat al-Ma'ida.

'Urwah al Mughira reported it from his father:
He (Mughira) helped the Apostle (ﷺ) in performing the ablution, and he performed it and wiped over his shoes. He (Mughira) said to him (about the washing of the feet after putting them off), but he (the Holy Prophet) said: I put them (feet) in when these were clean.
