History of trains, locomotives, and railroads

This video is a timeline of the history of trains, railways and locomotives. I presented how the first wooden tracks appeared, and how the steam carriage was invented by William Murdoch. Then the first steam locomotive was invented by Richard Trevithick, and improved by Matthew Murray and George Stephenson in the following years. The next major inventions were the electric locomotive and the diesel locomotive. The video ends with some top speed records of the trains, and the newest inventions – the Maglev train and the hydrogen-powered train.
