This is much I pay for my tesla model 3. We discuss Tesla Model 3 TRUE cost of ownership. We have owned our Tesla Model 3 for 18 months now and have incurred several expenses. We wanted to show you all the true cost of owning a Tesla Model 3 after 20,000 miles. We provide details of each expense, starting with the initial purchase price, FSD, charging cost (supercharging and home charging), increase in our insurance, registration fees, tire replacement cost and much more. Finally, we discuss depreciation and a trade-in quote from Tesla. Please note that some of the home charging costs are not exact, I calculated them using the kWh used and other factors such as non-peak power rate.

To start off, the initial purchase was very seamless. I just went online, selected what car I wanted (Mid Range Tesla Model 3), it was in October and then in December of 2018, I got an email saying
my car was ready for pickup. So, the initial purchase price came out to be around $54,700. That does not include taxes, that does include the paint (I chose custom red paint), that cost me $2,500, I paid $1,125 in destination fees and $75 in documentation fee. Those are mandatory fees from Tesla. I also paid $5,000 for the enhanced autopilot with the initial purchase.
