BEGINNING to WORK With ANCESTORS
BEGINNING to WORK With ANCESTORS a shamanistic approach, first challenges your thinking about how far back to go, and how which ancestors show up might surprise you! Calling on ancestors for help via shamanic methods is common & understood in much of the world and throughout human history.
What is ancestor work? I'm currently a student of shamanism which is really the pre-organized religions, beliefs of much of the world. Africa, Europe, South American & Asian cultures ALL venerated the ancestors! Africa in fact still has existing lineages of ancestor worship traditions as does India (other places too but in some places especially in Western Europe the connection to indigenous traditions have been lost.)
Or it's considered in those cultures that lost traditions as a result of more powerful religions overriding and casting negative stereotypes on earlier traditional beliefs- in modern Western cultures the idea of ancestor work is looked upon as backward or hocus pocus.
This is starting to change-as even people who have no connection in their family, start to explore ancestor worship as a shamanistic path.
I’m a spiritual teacher, yogini and meditation practitioner for over 2 decades. Been featured in Essence, Self, Yoga Journal & Heart & Soul magazines. I provide spiritual coaching (online and audio/video) for any woman ready to live their best, most joyful life!
My focus is on spiritual growth, meditation, manifestation & developing our intuition as the connection to the Divine. With a focus on those suffering from anxiety and stress.
