You will need:
1/2 block of Medium Firm Tofu
1 tbs of Tamari
2 clean bowls or containers
2 tbs of Tahini
1 tbs of Nutritional Yeast
1 pinch of salt
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/4 tsp of paprika
1/8 tsp of black pepper


Air Fryer Recipe
Tahini Crusted Tofu
1. Take 1/2 of a drained and dried block of med firm tofu, cut into 1 inch cubes (you should get about 8 nuggets)
2. In a separate bowl combine the tofu cubes with 1 tbs of tamari drizzled evenly over the nugget.
Let those soak up the tamari for 15 minutes or more. This is when you can prep the other elements of your meal! I did lemony garlic collard greens and baked potatoes but live your dreams and do what you want!
If you feel like the tofu is not marinating evenly, place a plate on top of your bowl and, while over the sink, gently try to move the tamari around the bowl in a circular motion.
They will look like they absorbed some of the liquid on every side and they have darkened in color, carefully spoon the tofu into a separate clean bowl while trying to keep as much of the leftover Tamari liquid out as possible.
3. Take 2 tbs of Tahini and drizzle it over the tofu so that it’s evenly coated
4. Now take 1 tbs of Nutritional Yeast and sprinkle it over the tofu evenly. Note: The bigger the flakes of Nutritional Yeast, the better the crust will look.
5. Next, gently mix everything with a spoon or by hand with a scooping motion; try to get the bottom as evenly covered as the top and DO NOT WORRY if there are gaps of exposed tofu or if it falls apart a little at this time! That is normal!
6. Now add a small pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/4 tsp of paprika, and 1/8 tsp of black pepper
7. Mix again with the same scooping meathod. If a lot of the coating sticks to your spoon, don’t be afraid of pushing it off and adding it back to the bowl!
8. Now add to your air fryer for 8 min at 400
9. After your 8 minutes, open your air fryer, dump the tofu out into a bowl, then dump them back in the airy fryer for another 8 minutes at 400
then you’re done and you’ve made some delicious tofu!

Baking instructions
Preheat your oven to 400
Follow steps 1 through 7
Now on a parchment paper lined baking sheet: place tofu so that each cube is evenly spread out and not touching another cube.
Then bake for 20 to 25 minutes flipping half way through!
They won’t look “fried” but they will still be a delicious golden brown nugget at the end!
