Paul Davies, author of the popular best-seller "How to Build a Time Machine," discusses time travel during the annual Sci-fi Meets Sci-Fact lecture on Jan. 31, 2012, at Arizona State University.
Time travel is a favorite science fiction theme, but can it really be done? ""Well, maybe,"" says Davies. In this humorous and riveting lecture, he discusses the mechanics of time travel and what features of the universe might make it possible. He touches on the works of Einstein, Gott, Godel, and others to provide those in the audience with a foundational understanding of the theories that give way to the possibility of time travel. Paul Davies is an internationally acclaimed cosmologist, astrobiologist and theoretical physicist at Arizona State University, where he is a Regents' Professor in the Department of Physics.
