PLUM CHUTNEY RECIPE
Plums is one of my favourite fruits and is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. It’s the perfect accompaniment for cheese & crackers and works so well with so many snacks.
It’s #vegan too

INGREDIENTS :
Refined oil - 50 ml
Cinnamon - 2 sticks
Star Anise - 4 pcs
Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
Chopped fresh red chilli, deseeded- 1 tbsp
Chopped shallots - 3 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 200 gms
White vinegar - 175 ml
Plums, roughly chopped - 500 gms
Salt - to taste
Method :
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cinnamon and star anise.
2. Add chopped ginger, red chilli and shallots and sauté till soft.
3. Add red chilli powder, vinegar and sugar. Reduce to a glaze.
4. Add the plums and salt. Cook on slow flame till it becomes thick.
5. Cool and store in fridge.
