This is the most southern French village on the list of "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" translated literally by Most beautiful Villages in France.
Located in the department of the Pyrénées Orientales in French Catalonia, this village is as beautiful as it is rich in culture.
An absolutely stunning village with the backdrop of the Mont Canigou. This Castle village is one of the jewels of the Eastern section of the mountain range.
There is a ridiculous view point before you enter the village where you can stop and get a drone like view. The best spot to see the village before you make your way down into the valley.
The town is absolutely stunning and super well kept. Bars and cool restaurants make this a great stop for lunch when passing through the region.
If you are on the highway going towards Spain, this is a small 20km detour from the main highway A9 that would be a shame to miss out on.
A 10/10 all the way this beautiful, picturesque destination is the perfect activity for enjoying some of the best sights in south France.
