T'puram: The CPI, a key ally of the ruling Left Democratic Front, was severely attacked at the LDF meeting here on Sunday evening for the cabinet boycott by their ministers over Thomas Chandy issue. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan tore apart the CPI stand on the issue and the other allies backed it. Pinarayi pointed out that the CPI's decision to keep its Ministers away from the cabinet can never be justified and it amounted to blatant violation of coalition dharma. In its reply, the CPI maintained that it felt it improper to participate in a cabinet meeting which also figures a tainted minister.
