The project will link the Greater Cairo Region with new urban areas and cities in the east, such as New Cairo and the Administrative Capital.
It contributes to facilitating the movement of employees and expatriates from Cairo and Giza to New Cairo and the Administrative Capital, as it is integrated with the third metro line at the stadium station in Nasr City and with the electric train at the Arts and Culture City station in the new administrative capital. The project will ease traffic jams on the main axes and streets.
The project will save fuel consumption rates of environmental pollution.
The Administrative Capital Monorail starts from Al-Estad Station in Nasr City in the capital, Cairo, to Al-Adala City Station in the New Administrative Capital, with a length of 56.5 km, in a journey that will take 60 minutes. , Seventh District, Zakir Hussain; Free Zone, Field Marshal Tantawy, Cairo Festival City, Air Hospital, Mohamed Naguib, Narges, American University; Emaar, Al Nafoura Square, Al Barwa, Middle Ring Road, Mohamed bin Zayed; The regional ring, Al-Massa, the ministries, the administrative capital, and it is implemented through a consortium of companies (Alstom - Orascom - The Arab Contractors). It is expected to open in 2023.
